SECURITY BY DESIGN
HIPAA-Compliant Cloud Architecture on AWS.
We build healthcare workloads on HIPAA-eligible AWS services under a BAA, with encryption, least-privilege access, and audit logging designed in from the start.
Service overview
Handling PHI in the cloud is achievable — but only when security is part of the architecture, not an afterthought. Encryption at rest and in transit, least-privilege access, audit logging, and the right service choices all have to be designed together.
Dev Anchor builds healthcare platforms on HIPAA-eligible AWS services operating under a Business Associate Agreement. We have done this in production: a healthcare logistics platform with native driver apps, secure document processing, and serverless infrastructure built around PHI safeguards.

HOW IT GOES
Delivery approach
- 01
Scope the PHI
We identify exactly where protected health information flows and rests.
- 02
Design the safeguards
Encryption, access control, and logging are architected together, not bolted on.

Infrastructure as code with reviewable, auditable configuration.
- 04

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Does using AWS make us HIPAA compliant?
No. AWS offers HIPAA-eligible services and a BAA, but compliance depends on how your application and organization configure and use them. We build to the technical safeguards; compliance remains a shared responsibility.
Can you review our existing healthcare infrastructure?
Yes. We assess your current architecture against HIPAA technical safeguards and recommend concrete remediation steps.
Do you sign a BAA?
Where our role requires it, we work under appropriate agreements. The cloud provider BAA covers the infrastructure layer; your organization's obligations are separate.
Dev Anchor builds to HIPAA technical safeguards. HIPAA compliance is a shared responsibility between your organization, your cloud provider, and your technology partners. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal compliance advice.
